The scene

In the film’s climax, James Bond wears the N. Peal 007 Braces as part of the tactical outfit he uses after arriving on Safin’s island for the final assault. The sequence unfolds inside the villain’s lair, a brutalist complex of concrete passages, stair towers, gantries and laboratory spaces built around the nanobot plant and missile silos. Bond moves through those interiors with Nomi before pressing on alone, and the braces register in motion rather than in isolation: glimpsed beneath his navy ribbed army sweater and over his shirt as he climbs, fights and threads his way through the base’s tight industrial geometry.

In this moment, the braces belong to a costume conceived less as classic Bond elegance than as stripped-down field gear. N. Peal’s own film tie-ins state that the navy ribbed army sweater and combat trousers were developed with No Time to Die costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb, and a Christie’s sale of Daniel Craig’s tactical costume identifies the look as a coordinated set including sweater, slate blue-grey combat trousers, white shirt and braces.

That context makes the braces read as functional support within a commando silhouette, reinforcing Bond’s return to military pragmatism for his last mission. On screen, the braces are subdued by design. Their grey tone sits close to the slate-blue and navy palette of the outfit, so they rarely pop as a separate accessory. Instead, they surface in medium shots, side angles and movement-heavy framings, while the lair’s cold, hard lighting and metallic surroundings keep them integrated into the severe, utilitarian look of the sequence.

In the film’s climax, James Bond wears the N. Peal 007 Braces as part of the tactical outfit he uses after arriving on Safin’s island for the final assault.

N. Peal is a London luxury house founded by Nat Peal in 1936, with its roots and long-running flagship presence in Burlington Arcade, Mayfair. Best known for cashmere, the brand has also built a parallel James Bond association through official 007 capsules, and No Time to Die extended that relationship after N. Peal pieces had already appeared on Daniel Craig in Skyfall and Spectre. For Bond’s final Craig-era wardrobe, N. Peal worked with costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb on film-linked garments and accessories developed around her original designs. The 007 Braces are a utilitarian accessory rather than eveningwear suspenders.

N. Peal’s retail specification lists a 97% cotton and 3% latex elastane composition, adjustable sizing, a fully extended length of 108 cm, and hand-wash care. The brand sold them in grey under style reference NPG107744A_GRY and described them as attaching specifically to the matching 007 Combat Trousers, framing the piece as part of a “modern military styling” program tied to the commando look from the film. Their route into No Time to Die was unusually direct for a licensed tie-in. Official Bond publicity for the release stated that N. Peal recreated the trousers, braces and Henley worn in the tactical action scenes from Suttirat Anne Larlarb’s original designs as exact replica pieces.

N. Peal launched the braces alongside the combat trousers in September 2021 as part of its licensed 007 collection, positioning them as a completion piece for the Bond outfit rather than a standalone core-line accessory. In the years since, the braces have remained a niche collector item within Bond costuming circles, largely because they only make full sense with the matching trousers. Recent N. Peal collection pages still list the grey 007 Braces, but as sold out, which suggests continued archival presence and intermittent demand rather than broad ongoing availability.
